Top 5 Bold Statements made by Kangana Ranaut

Kangana is known for speaking her mind without any fear or hesitation.  Below are a few statements she made that proves just that 🙂

1) No English Vinglish

Unlike a Kareena Kapoor who is surrounded by friends from the industry, Kangana did not have it easy. Here’s what she once said-“When I started out, I was treated like a dog. People in the industry treated me like I didn’t deserve to be spoken to and I was some unwanted object because I couldn’t speak English”.

2)  Being Woman

She did not shy away from highlighting that discrepancy in pay is real when she said, “Forget the credit, they take all the money as well. We don’t get paid even one-third of what male actors get. It’s not so much about the money, but it’s about (being) a woman”.

3) Itna paisa mein Itina hi milega

Unlike  other bollywood actresses who are often diplomatic about their choice of films, Kangana did not shy away from pointing out why she sometimes has to opt for flop films.

“We have to earn our bread and butter and sometimes we have limited options. As somebody who is self-dependent and doesn’t really have any other job, I have to keep working, and doing something or the other” .

4) Self-confidence is key

She is brave enough to state that no other actress can do roles that she chooses to do. “I don’t consider anyone my competition. Name one actress who could have played Datto or done Queen”.

5) Feminine is good

In the world of cinema, it is often said that toughest people always survive but Kangana broke that stereotype as well when she said, “Feminine as an emotion, which would be compassion and kindness, is seen as a weakness…We need to change that mentality”.

Thank you Kangana for being the outspoken person you are!! You go girl 🙂

Here’s wishing you a very happy birthday and a year filled with record breaking films.
